Nestled just minutes off Interstate 77 in Caldwell, Ohio, Mom’s Home Cookin’ is like stepping foot into your very own kitchen. Familiar aromas waif through the air and instantly make your mouth water. The quaint dining room is filled with wooden tables and decorated in a festive manner for the upcoming holidays. An old-fashioned radio fills the restaurant with modern music and knick-knacks from decades past plaster the walls.

Although the restaurant is located right off the freeway, business is made up of devoted regulars. Almost all of the customers stop in twice a day for Mom’s delicious cooking. On occasion, a traveler will find her way into Mom’s. Upon entering the small establishment, she will certainly be met with mysterious glances. Even though she’s immediately recognized as a first-timer, the hospitality and charm that is characteristic of Mom’s will make the customer feel right at home.

Averaging around $10, a whole meal will not break the bank and provides large enough portions to fulfill a hungry tummy. Menu favorites include the ranch chicken BLT, taco salad and the barbecue onion burger. However, the true highlight of the kitchen is that breakfast is served all day, every day. Breakfast staples like omelets and pancakes as well as various egg dishes can be ordered anytime. Not in the mood for breakfast? Don’t worry -- if you’re craving it, chances are Mom’s cooking it.
