Annual Meigs County Gold Wings & Ribs
The roar of motorcycle engines and the smoky smell of fresh barbeque will permeate Main Street in Pomeroy on June 1 and 2 this summer as the 10th Annual Meigs County Gol Wings & Ribs Fest kicks into gear.
The festival, which has become a summer staple for the riverside town, features activities to please a wide array of visitors. Motorcycle buffs can check out the motorcycle lights tour on Friday night, or join in on the guided motorcycle tour on Saturday afternoon.
For those less interested in the boisterous bikes in the area, tons of food related activities are available to whet the palate. Food vendors will peddle their wares throughout the weekend event, giving visitors the chance to taste the best in area fare. Foodies can also embrace their competitive side and take part in the cookie stacking competition or pickle-spitting event.
Although judges will be determining the winners of “Ohio’s Best Wings” and “Ohio’s Best Ribs,” visitors can make their taste preferences known by voting for the People’s Choice awards.
The Meigs County Gold Wings & Ribs Fest brings riverside eats, entertainment and fun to the Pomeroy community.
